My mother was diagnosed in 2021 with stage four lung cancer whilst in her early 50’s and having never smoked. She was a very fit woman participating in multiple 5k and 10K races through the year and cycling at least 20 miles a week. Her cancer is currently incurable, but hopefully one day the donations will mean they will find a cure and whilst it might be too late for her it can help others. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
