Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. My mum is one of those people, in 2013 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through weeks of chemo, radiotherapy and an operation, she was told she was cancer free...until 2014 where it returned. They diagnosed it as triple negative cancer and she had to go through another lot of chemo, again she had the good news of being cancer free. There was the worry of it returning for a third time, and sadly it did. For my mum to go through chemotherapy, radiotherapy and another operation for a third time was hard for everyone. Recently she has also been diagnosed with liver and lung cancer, it had spread. She is an incredible woman, I'm so proud to call her my mum. For her to find out she has two different types of cancer and still be so positive amazes me! I want to raise money for my mum who's had to go though a lot, while still being such a positive person!
