My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. May I just say at the start of this that I am not a runner. The last running I did was for my 40th birthday and I hated it however, I have just had a visit from a much loved family member who is living with cancer every day. She is funny, and full of devilment and love. This is for her, and for all those fighting every day. You are inspiring and a little shuffling and a bit of fundraising could make a difference. So this August, I’m jogging 31 miles in the month to help beat cancer. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. We can all play our part to support the research that will beat it. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
