Thanks for taking the time to visit our Giving Page. Jo Ferguson was a treasured Teaching Assistant, colleague and friend, who supported countless children during her many many years at Launde. Sadly last year, she suddenly became ill and received devastating news. Despite this, Jo remained positive and brave to the end. “It is what it is.” she said. “There is no point sitting here weeping and wailing. I might as well enjoy the time I have left.” In the end it wasn’t a long battle, Jo died less than year from her diagnosis. Cancer is a cruel disease that robs families of loved ones and friends of friends. It has no boundaries and attacks the young and the old and is happening right now to countless families, which is why we at Launde are pulling together to fundraise right now in Jo’s name for Cancer Research UK. As a school we are doing 100 skips per day in October and we need your help. Anything you are able to donate would be appreciated as we need to put an end to cancer. There is really no time to lose, we all need to join the fight against cancer.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
