Lani's Giving Page

Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I am 11 years old and in my last year of primary school. After speaking to my mum I decided very quickly that I would like to shave my hair off to help raise money for this charity and to help people who are fighting cancer. I have lost people from my family and also my childminder to cancer. I have been told I am very brave for doing this and that I must think very carefully about making such a big decision. I do understand that it's a big deal, but there are people out there who are having cancer treatment and losing their hair don't have the choice. I'm lucky that I do have a choice and that I am well, giving my hair to charity and raising money could help people get better and this makes me happy and feel lucky and privelaged to do this. I don't care if people tease me at school and say I look weird or silly, we all know what kids can be like and they say it as they see it, maybe this will make them see things a bit differently as I am sure most people at school (even at my age) know what cancer is and how serious it is. Any donation you can make will really make me feel so proud and happy that I am doing this for a good reason.
