Cancer has affected my life in many ways over the years. I have lost some very special people young and old to this cruel disease. I have also with my family been by my Mum’s side while she has faced cancer not once but twice (and survived) and seen first hand how heartbreaking and gruelling the treatment is. The medical treatment, care and compassion from amazing Doctors, nurses and staff made a huge difference to my mum’s journey and as a family we will be forever grateful. I wanted to challenge myself and give back to cancer research so by taking on the 100k in May is the perfect opportunity.
