The lovely human being to the left of my profile photo is someone I am proud to call my friend. Her name is Julie. She has a contagious laugh, beautiful looks, huge heart and a gorgeous family. Sadly, she also has cervical cancer. To say her diagnosis was devastating to her and her family would be an understatement. This is not what a young woman in her prime should ever have to go through. As a friend trying to support her with the Atlantic Ocean between us isn't always easy. Not being able to hug her when she's down or make a cuppa tea when she needs it is hard. Knowing her heartache over what the cancer is stealing away from her is overwhelming. That is why I want to show my support in another way. Fortunately for Julie, with a village around her, she has found a way to take control back from her cancer one dance step at a time. I want to add to this. To show her there isn't just a village supporting her but thousands of others who are all banding together to beat cancer. Because, as Julie has taught me, #cancerhateslove
