In memory of

My mother Jill, my grandmother Isabel, my cousin Diana, and my best friend Debbie.

My Story

I last ran the Race for LIfe the year my best friend, Debbie, died, aged 50. This was nine years ago. Breast cancer is horrendous - I also watched my mother die a long, slow death from this horrible disease. Please help me raise funds to research and hopefully, one day, beat this awful cancer. I'm so lucky not to have developed it - just had the all-clear from a mammogram. So to celebrate I'm doing the Race for Life again, and I hope you'll support me.

CAUSE

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
