Kirsty's Race for Life
Milton Keynes 10k 2020
Sat 5 Sep 2020 - Sat 5 Sep 2020
Kirsty's Story; I'm sure there are far too many of us that know someone that has been affected by cancer. My great auntie had cancer ever since I could remember, she had battled with this disease for many years and sadly her battle was lost - she lost her life to cancer. My Grandad was diagnosed with bowel cancer but he fought and won his battle against cancer - he has now been given the all clear :) He kicked ass!! I have seen first hand what this horrible disease can do and I want to try and do something to help. . . . it may only be a small thing like raising a few quid but it's something. I'm no scientist so I can't get in the lab and help but we can give the people at cancer research the funds they need to help win the fight against cancer! 10k might not seem much of a distance to some but it feels like a marathon to me. I can't even run 5 minutes without getting a stitch or turning purple from lack of oxygen but I am training daily and I am determined to run this race for my great auntie, my grandad and all those that have or have had this horrible disease. Any sponsor money would be greatly appreciated. Wish me luck!
