Kirsty's Race for Life
Newcastle Pretty Muddy 5k 2020
Sun 4 Oct 2020 - Sun 4 Oct 2020
On 15th November 2017 I lost the person in my life that I can never replace, my Dad! He was 60 years old and had been fighting cancer for 15 months. Loosing my dad has been the hardest part of my life so far. Not only did my Dad die from cancer but my Grandma was also diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy in 2013, she is now 84 and still here to tell her great grandchildren the tale. Others aren’t so lucky and this year has already started off bad after one of my close friends lost her Dad and my partner lost his Grandma within a week or eachother. Seeing my friends and family affected by this awful disease has made me want to do something to help. Cancer is every where but if I can raise some money and run through a bit mud then at least I can say I’ve helped make a difference. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
