Running the Race for Life for all those that have been affected by cancer, all of those loved and lost, and for those still fighting with immense bravery.
This year, after a near miss within the family, I decided it was time to stand up and start making the most of life, pushing myself out of my comfort zone is one of those and I thought there would be no better way than to do so whilst raising money for charity. Cancer is devastating, and whilst I and my family are very very lucky it hasn't affected any of us direct, there are many around me that are fighting with everything they have, and I am in absolute awe of their bravery every single day.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
