Kirsty's Race for Life
Portsmouth 5k 2019
Sun 7 Jul 2019 - Sun 7 Jul 2019
In memory of
My Mum, Gillian Langridge
4th Jan 1944 - 3rd Oct 2004
My Mum was extremely fit and ate healthily, yet cancer still got hold of her and she lost her battle aged 60. This destructive disease can affect anyone. I expect most of you reading this will know someone whose life has been destroyed by cancer. That's why we need to beat it. I only started running 18 months ago and I'm sure my mum would never have thought I could run around the block, let alone run 5K! So I'm doing this to show her what I can do now and I know she'll be watching and cheering me on. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
