Kirsty's Race for Life
Leigh 5k 2019
Sun 2 Jun 2019 - Sun 2 Jun 2019
My sister Vanessa was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. Following an operation and radiotherapy we thankfully got the good news after her MRI scan in April that she has successfully fought it off. To celebrate this fact, I am running the 5k along with Vanessa, my daughter Louisa, My sister Maxine, my mum and some of Vanessa's friends. We would like to raise some money to say thank you for all the research already carried out that meant Vanessa got the correct treatment and for future research so that one day everybody will be able to fight off cancer Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
