Cancer affects each and every one of us. 1 in 2 people will get a diagnosis in our lifetime. Cancer didn't stop for covid and currently, there is a backlog of over 38000 people waiting to commence treatment. Cancer remains one of the greatest challenges our country faces, and science will be how we beat it. The charity sector has lost millions during covid (like many many people and businesses). I'm committed to raise as much as I can to #saveourresearch and help beat cancer sooner. Back in 2012 I 'jeffed' my first race for life with my cousin in support of my Aunt who had Parathyroid cancer. This is a very rare cancer where more research is needed. My aunt sadly lost her battle in 2013 at the age of 52. I have fundraised every year since. This will be my biggest challenge yet!!! July I aim to complete at least 30 miles cumulatively including Durham 10k on 15/07/2021 August I aim to complete at least 40 miles cumulatively September I aim to complete 50 miles cumulatively including the Great North Run on 12/09/2021 October is the big one Im heading to London Baby 26.2 miles in one go!!! eeeek!
