My Story
My Dad and I are doing The Shine Walk in Leicester in memory of my beautiful Mum, Lyn,who we lost on 18th May this year to stomach cancer, just 6 weeks after receiving her full diagnosis. Unfortunately, the form of stomach cancer that Mum had is extremely rare and by the time there are any symptoms it is too late to treat. Hopefully, one day, this will no longer be the case - I hope that Cancer Research will find a way to detect all cancers earlier and also, a cure for them.
CAUSE
Bowel cancers
Each year, around 44,100 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer in the UK. That’s around 120 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat bowel cancer.
