My Story
Hi, Thank you for visiting my page, i wish it didnt have to be this way, but cancer has recently taken my beautiful little nanny from us all and although she lived a long, generally healthy life, she would have been here for a while longer should cancer not have taken her away. She was so mentally strong and healthy for a 90 year old. She loved walking everywhere, gardening, and keeping active, but sadly in June 2022 she was told she had Pancreatic cancer, however she still kept busy and didnt let it get her down. She was here to celebrate her 90th birthday in July 2022.. although slightly weak, she still didnt want to sit down. Xmas came and went and the New year started and she began to deteriorate and it was getting hard for her to come to terms with it as she was becoming less mobile as the days went by. This awful disease took our nanny away on the 23rd January 2023. She done extremely well to deal with the effects of the cancer and was able to spend most of her time at home where she peacefully passed away. I will always remember my nan for being the strong, active, caring and wonderful lady she was. I would like to do this 10k walk in her memory, she loved walking and i have fond memories of walking with her along the seafront when i was younger. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
