Lots of people in my family/friend circles have been diagnosed with, battled, and some have died :(
In memory of
John Murgatroyd
This years Race For Life Pontefract 2017 is in memory of John Murgatroyd, husband of Mary, father to David, Angela and Kimberly who lost his battle against cancer at the end of May 2017. Anyone who knows me, knows that a family friend Liz Calverley lost her life to skin cancer aged 50, and 2 of my Aunties have also battled (and survived) cancer. Too many people I have been close to have been diagnosed with cancer and some haven't survived their battle leaving families without mums, dads, brothers, sisters, uncles and aunties. I am doing this to raise money so families lives won't be turned upside down. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
