My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Charity Tuk-Tuk Tour Raising awareness for Men’s mental Health And prostate cancer Hello, My name is Kirk Garbett, and I am the landlord of The Wheatsheaf pub in Shifnal, Shropshire. This summer, I am embarking on an ambitious (and undoubtedly bumpy!) charity challenge, and I am reaching out to see if you might be willing to help share my story or support the journey as I pass through your area. Starting on July 4th, I will be taking on an 800-mile journey around the Welsh coast in a 3-wheeled tuk-tuk. My maximum speed will be about 35–40 mph—so wish me luck on the hills! I am taking on this challenge to raise vital funds and awareness for two causes very close to my heart: Prostate Cancer (1 in 8 men will get it—we need to protect our fathers, sons, and brothers) Men’s Mental Health (Breaking the stigma and reminding everyone that it’s okay not to be okay) My Route: I will be travelling from Shifnal to Anglesey, driving all around the coastline, navigating the Llŷn Peninsula, and following the coast all the way down past Barmouth, Borth, and Aberystwyth. How you can help: Spread the word: If you could share my journey on your social media pages, newsletters, or local broadcasts, it would mean the world to us and help raise maximum awareness. Pit-stops & Camping: Because we are doing this on a budget to ensure every penny goes to charity, we are looking for local campsites, farmers, or pubs willing to host us for a night, or even just offer a warm cup of tea/coffee or a meal as we pass through. Wave & Cheer: If you see a blue tuk-tuk chugging along your local roads, please give us a wave or a friendly beep! find me on Facebook by searching for Kirk Garbett. If you need any more details, or would like to coordinate a specific time to meet up when we pass through your area, please let me know. Thank you so much for your time and support. Warm regards, Kirk Garbett Landlord, The Wheatsheaf (Shifnal) Find me on Facebook for daily updates: Kirk Garbett
