My Story
I am running the 10K Race for Life in memory of my beautiful mum, who left us 18 years ago after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Mum was the one who taught me what it means to love fiercely, to live authentically, and to find beauty in life’s smallest moments. She never had the chance to grow old, to see the years where wisdom deepens and dreams take flight once more. Yet, in her absence, she has given me the greatest lesson of all - to cherish the now, to meet life’s challenges with grace, and to honour the time we are given by living it fully. This race is my way of keeping her spirit alive, of running for the love she gave so freely, and of standing in solidarity with everyone affected by cancer. For her, for the memories, and for the hope of a future where no one has to lose someone they love too soon.
