My Story
Hi, my name is Flynn and I’m 11 years old. I’m doing Race for Life for my stepdad James because he is fighting bowel cancer, and I think he is the bravest person I know. He’s not just my stepdad, he’s my best mate. He encouraged me to join Scouts and we go on campervan adventures and make crazy comedy sketches together. He always makes me laugh, even now. Seeing him go through this has been really hard, but it’s also shown me how strong he is. I wanted to be brave like him and do something to help. So I’m taking on Race for Life with my cousins Emily and Jacob, and together we’re going to give it our all. I’m raising money for Cancer Research to help my stepdad and other people fighting cancer—because they are all heroes.
