I’m taking part in Shine Night Walk to help beat cancer

Those that know me are aware that this is a charity very close to my heart. After receiving a terminal diagnosis in 2015, my dad has defied the odds and has been living with bowel cancer since this time whilst undergoing major operations and gruelling chemotherapy. Sadly, his treatment has now stopped working, the disease is progressing and he has no other treatment options available to him. Despite this, he continues to live each day with purpose, positivity and humour. He is an inspiration to me and I will walk this route with pride and honour at being blessed with such an awesome dad.

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Cause

Bowel cancer

Over the past 40 years there's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer and half of people diagnosed will now survive for at least 10 years. But with bowel cancer still claiming around 43 lives each day, more research still needs to be done. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
