My Story
Join us for an unforgettable evening of football as we come together to kick out cancer! Our tournament is not just about sports; it's about bringing together businesses and making a difference in the fight against cancer. A fun filled evening with all proceeds from the event will go towards Cancer Research, supporting individuals like Christy in their battle against this disease. Christy, a father of three and grandfather of four, has recently received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung Cancer. As a passionate football enthusiast, Christy envisions this tournament as an opportunity to create joyful moments and lasting memories for all who participate, while also raising vital funds for cancer research. By participating in our Kick Out Cancer Cup Tournament and supporting this event, you're not only having the opportunity to networking with other businesses – you're joining a movement to defeat cancer. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and bring hope to those affected by this disease.
CAUSE
Lung cancer
Each year more than 43,500 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in the UK. We urgently need to drive progress so that more people survive their disease. Cancer Research UK is at the forefront in lung cancer research and is funding various projects to tackle the disease head on. This includes the TRACERx study, Cancer Research UK’s largest investment into lung cancer to date. This study has already transformed our understanding of how lung cancer evolves and is continuing to shed light on how to prevent, detect and treat the disease.
