Kerry & Paul's Race for Life
Loughborough 5k 2019
Sun 9 Jun 2019 - Sun 9 Jun 2019
In memory of
My mum
This is my 18th year in taking part in the Race for Life. Myself and Paul have signed up for the Pretty Muddy (a first for Paul) and I have signed up for 3 Race for Life's this year (1 in Battersea, 1 in Loughborough and 1 in Worthing) I have completed 2 Pretty Muddys and 20 Race for Life's, 3 of which were at Battersea as part of the Tesco Super Team. I have also had the opportunity to speak on stage at Loughborough and Battersea and start the race at Battersea. The reason I do this is in memory of my mum who passed away 24 years ago to breast cancer and many family and friends that have either lost their fight, still fighting or have had the all clear. I have had my story told on the back of a mother's day card, been on Sweet and Sour Beetroot Graze products, had my story in the Race for Life welcome pack as well as on the Race for Life Instagram page and Facebook page and I've been in the paper a few times. So as you can see I want to raise as much money and awareness as possible. Over the last 17 years I have managed to raise over £11,000, and I will keep going as long as I am able. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
