My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. My mum passed away in 2002 from stomach cancer. She didn’t smoke and drank very occasionally. Cancer doesn’t care who it affects. My dad lost his soul mate, my brother and sister lost their mum, the grandchildren lost their nanna. I lost not just my mum but my best friend too.
