I am doing this walk because someone very very close to me has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. I may not be able to help them get better, but I'd like to raise as much money as we can to help fund the research into this horrible disease and hopefully help others too. Each year in the UK, more than 9,400 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. With more than 100 different types of brain tumour, donations can help Cancer Research UK find out what causes them and develop better treatments to improve the outlook for patients.
