My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Help me Walk All Over Cancer by donating to this amazing cause! We are all in this fight together against cancer and have all been affected by this horrible disease whether it be a loved one or yourself! Some of you know i was diagnosed with a high grade tumour in my left cheek (earlier miss diagnosed as a cyst by a local GP!) back in 2017 just after I gave birth to my beautiful son Jimmy! My story is something I have kept private but I feel sharing this will raise awareness and help someone and i owe that! I was what is know as asymptomatic which means showing little to no symptoms, I was feeling tired just having had a baby so I didnt notice anything unusual other than a little purple lump on my cheek, I also had some unexplained bruising on my legs and my wrists were hurting when pushing the pram but i really didnt think anything of it until my neck started to swell that's when I became concerned, I was so lucky to be referred to the most amazing Doctor and cancer team at Guys hospital london, I had every scan imaginable, blood tests and my fair share of biopsys, my case was so rare and at one point my tumour shrunk by itself which was not text book tumour behaviour! Lucky for me early detection and amazing research saved my life and I had my tumour removed within months and am now 3 years in remission! My family and friends got me through and the hospital staff who became like family with their ongoing support for me. We all have a cancer story to share which is why we must all fight this together through fundraising to enable our amazing scientists and doctors to continue finding new medicines and early detection! I will be doing my bit and walking 10000 steps a day in March please support me by donating even a £1 every penny really does help fund research for people we love and ourselves! Thankyou so much:)
