My Story
It all started when my mum Jackie was diagnosed with Breast cancer aged 50, She underwent all the treatment given and was eventually given the all clear. Sadly 10 years later at the age of 60 she was diagnosed with Cancer of the gallbladder. We were told that it had spread to her liver and her lungs and She started treatment straight away. Sadly after 18 months of fighting she lost her battle. I am doing this race to raise money for vital research which gave me an extra 18 months to spend with my mum. If it wasn’t for the treatment I wouldn’t have had that precious time with her. I hope that the extra funding and awareness gives other families time with their loved ones that they may not have had.
