Kelly Walks All Over Cancer

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 20,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me. I have always been a supporter of cancer research due to losing various members of my family (nan, grandad, aunt and uncle) to various forms of cancer (lung, bowel, and brain tumours). Last year my dad lost his battle with throat cancer which meant I had first hand experience of watching a family member suffer from this disease. For 2 years in the run up to dad dying we watching him slowly become less of the man i had known for all of my life as the cancer took hold and he began to lose the ability to speak or move and finally gave up. This illness is devasting, not only for the people suffering but for those around them who can do nothing to help take the pain away. Whilst 20,000 steps may not seem a lot to some, this averages at 10 miles a day, which for me is probably my monthly average! If doing this means that I can raise some money and help a little towards stopping another family go through the experience we went through, it will be worth every step, every ache and pain and every blister!
