My Story
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. As most of you will know nearly a year ago(March 28th) I lost my mum suddenly after a 4 week battle with brain cancer. She was the life and soul of our family and is hugely missed. I now feel I can and want to give something back in honour of my mum after the amazing treatment she received from the staff at Roxburghe house. I am attempting to complete the 3 peak challenge in June 2021. This challenge is to climb the UK’s three highest mountains snowdon(3,560 ft), scafell pike(3,209 ft) and Ben Nevis(4,413 ft) in 24 hours. Hopefully I can raise a decent amount of money and give a little back in the fight against cancer.
CAUSE
Brain cancers
Each year in the UK, more than 12,288 people are diagnosed with tumours that start in the brain or elsewhere in the central nervous system. That’s 35 people every single day. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat brain cancer.
