My Story
A challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK, for motorcyclists on cheap and inappropriate motorcycles to ride from Land’s End to John O'Groats in 24hrs on the longest day of the year. Bikes must have been bought for no more than £600! This is my (lost count) effort and participation in this amazing event to fundraise for a charity that means a lot to me and my family. As you know I like to “stand out” doing this events, usually in fancy dress of some description. This year I hope to be a minion and have also dressed the bike to look somewhat different too, in a rusty outfit. This is the 10th year anniversary of my sister Sara’s death, this means as I was 10 years younger that I’m now her age at the time, it’s the 10th year anniversary of this event, it runs on her birthday every year (since she died) and is on motorcycles which she definitely enjoyed and was the reason I got into bikes too, the event raises money for cancer research and this is the reason of her passing, I’m sure there is a million more ways this event is the perfect fit for me to mark her memory and do something to help but I’m sure those few listed above are plenty enough without trying. Cancer affects 1 in 2 of us at some point in our lives…that’s me or you! Or you and the loved one sat next to you! Please please please donate anything you can to a really worthwhile cause and let’s beat cancer once and for all! Thanks for your time reading. Please donate and share far and wide. Best Keith
