Keeley's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives! 💪🏼 With 1 in 2 people being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime it will effect us all and I am no different. In 2015 my Grandad passed away after a short battle with an aggressive brain tumour. I was devastated as to me he was my superhero and I still miss him every day 💙 In July 2017 our world was rocked again when my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had no symptoms at all and it was only discovered by chance when his cousin Ruth booked him in for a screening. Thank goodness she did as the thought of losing my dad is unbearable! After a long operation and a lengthy recovery, which is still ongoing, he is now cancer free! YAY! 👨‍👧♥️ I experience the incredible courage and determination of people with cancer everyday with my boyfriends sister currently fighting her second brain tumour at the tender age of 11! She is my utter inspiration, just watching her live life the way she does is amazing! Liberty Rose you rock! 💜 I am running the pretty muddy 10k with my best friend, Charlotte, who’s dad is bravely battling incurable lung cancer. After being given 6 months to live we are now nearly a year and a half down the line. With the help of drugs, most probably funded by cancer research UK, he is surpassing all of the consultants expectations and living a nearly normal life with the help of family and friends 👨‍👧 We both know how much cancer can impact a persons life along with their family and friends.
