My Story

Our beautiful mummy Joanne Donoghue passed away at the age of 39 on the 9th of September 2017. Our mum meant the world to us she protected us for bad, she did everything for us and made sure we came first! It all started April 2017 when we went to the Caribbean as a family, mummy became very ill and towards the end of he first week there she was in hospital. They had said it was dehydration but we knew it was much more serious! As soon as we was allowed to travel back to the uk we took her straight to the hospital where nothing was found at first. After weeks of going back and forth to the hospital she went to Hastings hospital and that’s when our world fell apart. Mummy found out that she had cancer, after having a biopsy she didn’t want to know how long she had left, being her daughters it was so hard for us to hear our brave mummy had just weeks to live. They gave her the option of having radio therapy however due to her having a worse case of lung cancer the radio therapy did not work and she was too weak for chemo. It got very hard for us seeing our mum who is our rock laying in a hospital bed not drink or eating, the worse was when she started to forget who I was. After months of mummy being in pain I got the call from my sister on the 9th of September at 4pm that she had took her last breath. Mummy you are forever on my mind and in my heart, I can’t even think about you without crying. I wish things were different and that you was here now to just give me one last kiss and cuddle. I will never forget all the things you did for us and we wouldn’t be the girls we are today without you I love you so much mummy and I know you are proud of your girls forever in our hearts! Sleep tight mummy Love your pudding x
