My Story

I’m running this again this year for all those who have battled and won and for those who have battled and lost their lives to cancer. Seeing what cancer does to families is heartbreaking, seeing it first hand when my mum got diagnosed with breast cancer last year 3 days before Christmas. Our worlds came crashing but she was a lucky one to have beaten this horrible illness. The rollercoaster isn’t over yet and still operations and hospital appointments to attend to but we will come out the other side! Cancer sucks!

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
