My Story
Katy is a cheeky, stubborn, feisty 15 year old with a heart of gold who has been fighting cancer since 2024. Last Easter, Katy was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive bone cancer, Ewings Sarcoma Metastatic. During this time she has undergone an operation to remove the femur in her leg which was replaced with a prosthetic limb, multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This journey has been far from easy for Katy and her family. She experienced nearly every side effect of chemotherapy, caught sepsis multiple times, fought for her life in PICU and underwent an operation to remove a large amount of her colon which left her with a stoma. Tragically, Katy also lost her dad and a grandparent within the same year. Katy is an absolute warrior with resilience and strength like no other but sadly, the cancer is too aggressive and her treatment has come to an end, despite all the efforts from the NHS team. However, our fight to raise as much money as possible for this cause, on behalf of this special girl has just begun. Please give generously for the amazing Katy to ensure her fighting spirit lives on and together we can beat cancer!
