My Story
As many of you know my amazing and beautiful friend Cath lost her brave fight with cancer this year. To honour her memory and keep her fighting spirit alive I am going to run a race for life 10K! Cath fought right to the end with dignity and bravery which I will try to emulate during the race....who am I kidding, there will be no dignity involved as I crawl over the finish line! But I can promise you bravery through the tantrums of simply not being a runner. Most of you who know me will know that I am not a runner and much more comfortable in water. I’d rather be a mermaid and a chubby one at that so this will be a huge challenge for me. It’s also been said that my spirit animal is a sloth.....what have i signed up to?? But it is all worth it to help more research into beating this horrible disease and to honour my beautiful friends memory, even if she’s laughing at us all and wondering why we are not doing an all you can eat cakeathon! We’re runnning as a team so those of you who know all of us then you only need to donate on one page as it all goes into one pot....unless you’re Mr Big Bucks then crack right on and donate to all! Let’s kick cancer’s butt! But more importantly let’s keep the spirit of my beautiful friend Cath living on. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
