My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Many of you will know that my partner, David, was diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas. Instead of celebrating the holidays at home, he spent that time in hospital recovering from surgery to remove a tumour and part of his large intestine. It’s been a challenging few months adjusting to this new reality — hospital appointments, treatment plans, recovery, and trying to continue planning our wedding in August at the same time. Through it all, we’ve been incredibly grateful for the speed of his diagnosis, the skill of his surgeons, and the care he’s received. That’s why I’ve decided to walk a mile every day in March to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I want to do something positive. I want to give back. And I want to help make sure that more families get the same quick, life-saving treatment that David did. If you’re able to donate — no matter how small — it would mean so much to us. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post would be just as appreciated. Thank you for all the support you’ve already shown us. ❤️

All Cancer Types

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
