My Story
A decade ago I lost my dad to cancer. From diagnosis to death we only got 8 months. There’s not a day in this past decade he’s not been on my mind, but the second most overwhelming feeling I feel is the helplessness. So this year I wanted to do something to feel like I help, in exactly the way Cancer Research do. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
