My Story

I AM RUNNING FOR MY DAD. My dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer earlier this year. He had lost a lot of weight and became very weak due to not being able to eat. He was admitted to hospital and spent weeks in there being feed through a tube and having tests. We had the bad news that the cancer has spread and they was unable to operate to remove the tumour. We had the long wait to find out if he would be well enough to start chemo, it seemed like a life time waiting with dad only getting worse until one nurse noticed my dad and saw how unwell he looked and knew he need treatment asap. And thats what happened. He has now had 3 chemo sessions and a waiting his 4. I miss how my dad used to be but chemo has helped him alot. Even though my dads cancer is not curable i am grateful he is able to have the treatment to pro long his life with us.
