Katie and Julie's Race for Life
Cambridge 5k 2017

Cancer Research is doing so much for mum (Julie) and we want to do all we can to help them.
We're doing the Race For Life again this year because they've done so much to help mum in the last year. Mum (Julie) has a very rare type of cancer that is not well understood. Cancer Research are carrying out research on mum and other people that have the same or similar cancers, and to do this, they need the money from charity events like this one. Last year we managed to raise £543. We don't expect anything like that this year, but we want to get as close as we possibly can! It would mean the world to me and mum if we could contribute from our sponsors this year, and we are determined to beat our time of 1 hour and 20 minutes that we achieved last year. Mum is stronger than last year thanks to the treatment that she's received, so we're sure that we can smash that and do it in less than an hour and 10 this year! Thank you all for your support last year and we would be hugely grateful for any contributions you can make this year! Love you all, Katie and Julie xxx Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
