My mum kicked cancer's butt, so I'm running to raise money to ensure that others in the future can also kick cancer's butt! Thank you for your support.
My Story
I am running my first half marathon in aid of Cancer Research because unfortunately cancer still plays a large part in many peoples lives. I am very fortunate that my mum, the strongest woman I know is now 5 years in remission and hopefully kicked cancer for good. But unfortunately for others, cancer isn't cured and I am running to ensure that others can spend years with their loved ones after cancer. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
