2019 Royal Parks Half Marathon

Sun 13 Oct 2019 - Sun 13 Oct 2019

This October I'll be running my first ever half marathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please help support me.

My Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Despite being pretty terrible at running (and never participating in any sort of running event before...) I have decided to sign up to a Half Marathon this October to raise money for Cancer Research. I sadly lost my Gran to the disease earlier this year which was a huge loss to me and my family. It will be massive achievement for me both physically and mentally to get over the finish line - whilst also raising money for a great cause. It also goes without saying that I would not be in a position to even conceive a 21km run without the support of everyone who's been there for me the last few months. I appreciate everything you've done for me and hope to make you proud. With two weeks to go - training is fully underway with around 160km clocked-up so far. My aim is to hit the 200km mark with my toenails intact (but we’ll see!) Any donation you could spare me would mean the world. Katie x
