Mary Mcerlean and Eddie McLaughlin
Please join me in honouring the memory of my beloved grandparents, Nanny Mcerlean and Granda Eddie, who bravely battled cancer. I am participating in the Race for Life for Cancer Research with the goal of raising £200. £200 can significantly contribute to advancements in understanding errors in DNA, vital for comprehending and treating various cancers. My Nanny Mcerlean fought pancreatic cancer, one of the least researched cancers to date. It’s my hope that through our efforts we can improve the outlook for those facing similar diagnoses in the future. Every donation brings us closer to this goal. My participation in this race is a tribute to the strength and love of my Nanny and Granda Eddie, and a testament to my hope for a brighter, cancer-free tomorrow.

Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
