My Story
Thank you for considering donating to my fundraising page! After working in ENT and witnessing the impact of living with head and neck cancer, I’ve decided to swim AT LEAST 10K if not more at our ‘local pool’ Roker Harbour throughout the month of August. Cancer Research UK is a charity especially close to mine and my partner James’ heart. After suffering cancer as a child he amazes me everyday with his humble enthusiasm for life, trying new things and his unconditional gratitude for being cancer-free. And no doubt James will also be joining me for these swims. We are hoping to raise at least £100 to help fund life-saving research.
CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
