Linda Osbourne-Smedley. Doreen Smedley. Danny Beck.
My Story
I'm racing (well walking fast) for four people who have had an impact on my life. Linda who was my best mate since childhood,she lived life to the full and left me and her family with so many wonderful memories.Linda sadly passed away four years ago in 2014 Doreen Smedley was my wonderful mother-in law a lady with a heart of gold who was always right even when she was wrong!. Doreen passed away Two years ago in 2016 Danny Beck was the grandfather of two of my grandchildren,Annabelle (5) and Charlie (4). Sadly these two will now not have the chance to make more happy memories of time spent Dan. Dan passed away just a few weeks ago on 11th April 2018. Finally and happily i must mention Graham Carlin who is still very much a part of my family and still living life to the full thanks to the treatment he received many years ago. Graham was married to my sister and is the father of Lisa, my niece, and grandfather to her children, Abbie and Ben. Thanks to Cancer research, Graham is still a bringing his own unique brand of humour to our lives!! . Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
