Kathryn's Race for Life

There are very few people who I know who have not been effected by cancer in one way or another. Those who have bravely fought the fight and are no longer with us, those who are still fighting, those who are celebrating as they no longer have it, and those who have had to watch on while their family and friends go through something truly unimaginable. If it were not for the hard work of those at Cancer Research, my Mum wouldn’t have had the right treatment to get her to a place of remission. She is truly my hero for all she has endured and overcome. If not for the research in treatment, a very special man would not have got to stay with us as long as he did. He courageously battled and refused to give up and defied the expectations of doctors. Although we are grieved by losing him so recently, we can boldly shout ‘In your face cancer, we’re coming for you’. The stories seem to go on and on. If we keep supporting amazing work and research like this, we won’t have to fear the C word any longer. The gripping terror will be not be so tight. Please support me and my attempt to run this race. This is completely outside of my comfort zone, and no-one should be subjected to see me try doing something that resembles running/waddling!! Any amount will be gratefully received and I thank you for taking the time to read this.
