I'm taking part in Race for Life to raise money to beat cancer sooner. Every little helps and I’ve recently started going to the gym and also running so 5k is my little help.
My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. We have all been affected cancer at some point in our life, be it a loved one of your own or knowing someone who’s loved one have battled this cruel disease. In 2009 my stepmother was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and died less than 9 months later leaving behind children, grandchildren and my father. The care she received from diagnosis to hospice was outstanding. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
