My Story
In July our dear friend and fellow rugby club Mum, Jackie, died of bowel cancer, two days short of her 37th birthday. She was taken too young. Jackie spent her final 2 years tirelessly raising money for cancer research and increasing awareness of bowel cancer. Although not an enormous physical challenge compared to many our friends have previously undertaken, this walk was something David & I had planned to do with Jackie. At her stage of illness it would have been a huge undertaking. Sadly it was not to be. So we will walk in her memory. Anything you feel able to spare for this fantastic cause, however small will be hugely appreciated. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
