My Story
As I am sure many of you will have heard I was diagnosed last October with bowel and liver cancer. I was really shocked when I received my diagnosis although not sure why I should have been so surprised when statistically 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime and I am sure there are very few of us who could claim that they do not know of someone who has had cancer and hopefully come out the other side. Something I have come to appreciate since my diagnosis is how many wonderful people there are working tirelessly to find a cure and if not a cure then ways in which the numerous and various treatments can be administered which are more easily tolerated and without events such as Race For Life and the money this raises this work could not continue. I am sure you know what is coming next on Saturday 23rd July my 3 daughters, their partners, my husband and I will be taking part in a Race for Life event, the more energetic of us will be running 10k and those less energetic (me included) will be walking 5k. If this is a charity you would like to support, I would be grateful if you could donate whatever you can to my just giving page
