I’m raising money for Cancer Research

I am raising money for Cancer Research UK.

My mum was diagnosed with Cancer in the summer of 2019 and I am running in aid of Cancer Research so they can continue the search for cures for Cancer. The process to recovery wasn't easy as the treatment involved some horrible operations on the throat to cure the cancer. Without charities like Cancer Research UK, a cure would have not been available so quickly and efficiently for my mum's treatment. She is now in recovery and fighting fit.

With Cancer being on the rise at least 1 in 3 people are expected to develop Cancer in their lifetime. It is something that will effect us all during the course of our lives. However, due to research, Cancer survival rates are increasing. Cancer is something that you hear about frequently in the news and from friends who have experienced it first or second hand and you never expect it to touch you.

Please donate to a great cause so that less and less people will be effected by cancer and have to experience what we and many other families have to go through.

To all of those who have donated, I want to thank you for your support for myself and this cause, however, due to the ongoing issues surrounding Coronavirus, the decision has been made that the London Landmarks Half Marathon will not go ahead as planned on 29 March 2020. The Marathon team are working hard to secure an alternative date and I will post as soon as I know. In the meantime, I will continue to train for the new date and if a new date cannot be secured. I will run my own half marathon in aid of Cancer Research. Thank you for you ongoing support. Wishing everyone the best and good health during this uncertain time. Katherine x
