Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. We prefer swimming , well I do anyway . Whilst chatting in the Lido , Jill persuaded me to do a 5K . Every second conversation was about Cancer affecting our lives, our families and our close friends. This year has been the hardest. I find support in my friendships and talking. It has affected too many close people in our lives. We want to make a difference . The challenge is to run this distance, the challenge is to fight Cancer together and remember those people that we have lost or are fighting the battle right now. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
